Grunt work.....

Did some grunt work yesterday morning....

Warm up with 100 2-handed swings.  A quick 10 reps for 10 sets just to get the blood flowing followed by a quick 50 body-weight squats to get the glutes ready for action.
Then.....
Double 12kg kettlebells....
Swings: 5 reps x 5 rounds
Cleans: 5 reps x 5 rounds
Strict press: 5 reps x 5 rounds
Front squat:  5 reps x 5 rounds

Then I put it all together for a complex......
Dbl swing to dbl clean to dbl press to dbl squat=1 rep
3 reps per round, 5 rounds total.

Then just some random presses.....
Double 16kg strict press:  3reps x 5 rounds
Double 12kg strict press from kneeling position:  5 reps x 5 rounds
Double 16kg strict press from kneeling position:  3 reps x 3 rounds
Double 12kg strict press from laying on floor:  5 reps x 5 rounds

Done......

Afternoon it was off to the state park for a nice long hike.  This time I did the hilly 2 mile route but at the end I turned around and went back making it a really nice 4 miler.  That was tiring for sure.....and doing it backwards made it seem like a whole new trail!  

Today......
Nice big breakfast with the hubs followed up by doing the dishes and then it's off to the couch for the rest of the day!  It's supposed to be near 100 degrees with dew points in the mid to upper 60's..........what do I say to that????  You all know what I have to say....no need to spell it out for ya! 

I'm going to sit around all day in the AC and watch old war movies to celebrate Memorial Day!  Please remember that your freedom comes with a pretty hefty price and honor those who fought and/or are still fighting for it!
